About the JBL Bar 1300X

Big Atmos sound, no hassle
The JBL Bar 1300X lets you enjoy true surround sound without all the fuss of setting up a traditional component home theater. This streamlined 11.1.4-channel Dolby Atmos system features a speaker-packed bar, impactful sub, and 100% wire-free surround speakers.
The ultra-convenient battery-powered surrounds charge when connected to the bar and can be detached to quickly add rear-channel effects. And the 12″ wireless subwoofer adds deep bass to help you feel the action onscreen. Don’t worry about losing the dialogue in the mix, though — JBL’s PureVoice technology keeps it nice and clear.
Immersive 3D audio with MultiBeam
The Bar 1300X delivers sound that feels like it’s coming from every direction. The included surround speakers provide true wraparound sound, while both the bar and surrounds feature up-firing drivers for overhead effects. The system’s MultiBeam technology reflects sound off of your ceiling and walls to position sound cues all around you. Plus, the bar’s room calibration tailors the sound to the specific shape of your space.
4K and HDR passthrough
The HDMI connections on the bar allow 4K video passthrough and support HDR10 (High Dynamic Range) and Dolby Vision®. This makes sure you’re maintaining the high-contrast Ultra HD signal from a connected Blu-ray player or gaming console all the way to your TV.
Smart listening with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi
When you’re not watching TV, you can use this sound bar to listen to your favorite music with built-in Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. Just pair up your smartphone and you’re on your way to tunes-town. The Bar 1300X also comes with Apple AirPlay 2 and Chromecast built-in for easy streaming from a wide variety of sources.
If you have an Amazon Alexa device or Google Assistant, you can even control the sound bar with your voice. If you’re an audio book addict like me, you can just say “Alexa, play Audible” to pick up right where you left off.
Surrounds or portable Bluetooth speakers?
The detachable surround speakers feature built-in Bluetooth that can be operated separately from the rest of the system. This allows you to pair up the surrounds for quick stereo sound on the go. You can even pair up a single surround to listen in mono, just like a portable Bluetooth speaker. Detach, pair, and listen. It’s that simple.
True surround sound made simple
Getting started is easy. Plug the bar and sub into AC power and then connect directly up to your TV with an HDMI cable (included in the box). If you prefer an optical digital connection, that’s available, too, but you’ll need to pick up a cable separately (not included). The sub pairs with the bar wirelessly with the press of a button, so you can place it anywhere within range of a power outlet.
The true wireless surrounds are even easier. Just plug them into the ends of the sound bar to charge them, then detach and place them basically anywhere in your room when it’s time to fire up a movie.
